Every brewer uses similar ingredients, but we make an extra effort to highlight and source the finest ingredients possible. Coming up under some of the most respected names in the business, Casey quickly rose the ranks, eventually becoming a Senior Brewer at Stone Brewing Co. in San Diego. At Stone, he was part of an elite special-ops team – researching hops and malts, creating new recipes, and helping launch their sour beer program. From recipe design to fermentation and kegging, Casey’s responsibilities at Topa Topa cover pretty much everything from grain to glass. He takes his beer seriously, but that’s about it.

While he’s made a career out of crunching numbers in higher ed finance, Jack was drawn to the beer business because he wanted to build something around a community. He’s found that with Topa Topa. An avid outdoorsman, Jack left behind his native New Jersey for Ventura’s surf and Ojai’s trails. Normally calm, cool, collected, and caring, he’s a bit of an animal when it comes to sports. If the television is tuned to a Phillies or Eagles game, Jack is probably to blame.

Hailing from San Diego, one of the country’s finest beer towns, Kyle Thompson is Topa Topa’s fixer. His passion for problem solving nearly matches his passion for brewing. A father of two, Kyle enjoys surfing, making music, and sharing his love of beer with friends new and old. Ever wonder about the chemistry involved in filling your pint glass? Just ask Kyle. He’ll be more than happy to explain the science of suds.

Ryan has over a decade of experience as a Creative Director working at global advertising and design agencies. He’s been fortunate to work with some of the greatest marketers out there, including Nike, Target, Coca-Cola, Starbucks, Toyota, and more. His belief that the best brands come from working with an enthusiastic group of talented people with a singular focus is what attracted him to join the Topa Topa team. That and he thinks the beer is damn good.
